The challenge

BioListen VN explores how ecological acoustics can support biodiversity monitoring. Model outputs need to become something a ranger can inspect: an audio input, a visible spectrogram, an alert and an understandable report.

We built the prototype as Team NeuraX.ai, a three-person FPT University team, for Vietnam AI Innovation Challenge 2026, held on 17–19 July at FPT Tower in Hanoi.

My contribution

I worked on the UI and LLM layer. The task board for my work records:

  • Audio-upload and microphone-input views.
  • Spectrogram, alert and monitoring interfaces.
  • Integration of backend API responses into the UI.
  • Vietnamese prompts that turn species and threat information into ranger reports.

The team also worked on the acoustic model and backend. I distinguish that wider architecture from my own UI and LLM contribution.

Competition result

Our team placed 6th in Round 1 and was eliminated in a later round.

Reading the demo

The cover is a capture of the public demo. Its stations, telemetry and scenarios use demo data. Field deployment, sensor latency and the displayed explanation methods have not been validated.
